A 4 track offering of two stripped back songs combining vocal with acoustic guitar, paired with spoken performances of two poems from Susie’s ‘Daughter Poems’ collection.
This is a soothing vocal performance in unforced Irish tones that swaddle the listener. Gently defiant explorations of the tradition of the love song, asserting the primacy of body, love and land. These songs and poems, recorded 15 years apart, assert different ways love can manifest.
